Monty Halls' Great Irish Escape

Third outing for the Great Escape series - this time on the West Coast of Ireland.
We were based in the Connemara fishing village of Roundstone, where Monty spent six months working as a volunteer for the Irish Whale and Dolphin Conservation group.
Highlights included tagging and swimming with basking sharks and blue sharks, Dolphin ID studies and throwing ourselves into the wild social life of the west coast, from a cooking competition at the local mussel festival, to a near miss with the boom of a Galway Hooker (a type of sailing boat, since you ask!)
