Series 2 of Great Escape - this time on the Hebrides. We were based on the Island of North Uist, with Monty working as a volunteer ranger along the chain of islands stretching from Barra in the south to Berneray (where my ancestors came from) in the north.

 

Highlights included a RIB trip to the island of St Kilda, salmon fishing ith Jimmy Mcletchie and Fergus Granville, re-opening and maintaining a network of footpaths across the islands, and organising the Great Feast - an amazing showcase of local produce.
