Britain's Toughest Family

Six part series for the BBC, fronted by ex SAS man Chris Ryan, searching (as the title suggests!) for Britain's Toughest Family.

Round 1 - 10 families on a Tall Ship journey from Portsmouth to London, with a final eliminator involving an abseil from Trellick Tower, then Europe's tallest residential building

Round 2 - Royal Marine training and exercise - including a night time stake out of Ditsworth Warren House - later one of the key locations for the movie Warhorse!

Round 3 - Fire Brigade training, at the Fire College at Moreton-in-the-Marsh.

Round 4 - Coast -to-Coast Scotland. An espionage romp based loosely on the 39 steps, with the three remaining families dumped into the icy waters of Loch Hourne, on the West Coast, and left to get to Inverness under their own devices - included lie detector tests, powers of observation and wild camping, plus some subterfuge by the family that won the last minute eliminator!

Round 5 - Aussie bush survival challenge - down to the final pairing of the Crebers and the Gecks. the Crebers rightly won, despite nearly achieving tactical melt down, but the Gecks gamely pressed on to the finish to win their own battle!
