Short-lived foray into the world of constructed-reality tv.

 

Family guns followed the fortunes of father and son Christian and Alex, buying and selling military antiques.

 

I was drafted in to help make the last two episodes of a 10 part series when one of the original PDs had to leave on health grounds.

 

Highlights included filming a re-enacment of the Battle of the Bulge, live-firing a Tompson sub-machine gun,  recce-ing a Flying Fortress for a possible sequence on World War 2 in-flight catering, and a police bust on a couple of fences who were unwittingly trying to sell Christian and Alex a whole bunch of kit that had been stolen from their own warehouse!
